Terms of Service
By registering, subscribing, or using Optrader (“Optrader”, “Optrader.ca”, “OpTrader”, “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this platform.
Important Legal Notice: Optrader provides tools, data, and informational content only. Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, trading advice, a recommendation to buy/sell/hold, or a solicitation or offer to trade any security or derivative. Outputs are generated using filters, historical metrics, and model-based signals and are not guarantees of future performance. Optrader is not registered as an investment dealer, adviser, or portfolio manager with any Canadian or international securities authority. You remain solely responsible for any trading or investment decisions and outcomes.
1. Use of Service
Optrader is provided solely for informational and educational purposes related to securities and derivatives markets, including options analytics. You agree not to use the platform for illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
2. No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
Optrader does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. We are not licensed financial advisers, and no information on this site should be considered a personalized recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or derivatives instrument. Any examples, screen outputs, “top picks,” rankings, watchlists, alerts, or other results are for informational purposes only. Users are solely responsible for all investment decisions and outcomes.
3. No Solicitation; General Information Only
Nothing on the Service constitutes an offer, solicitation, or invitation to buy or sell securities or derivatives, or to engage in any trading strategy. Content is general in nature and does not account for your financial circumstances, objectives, experience, or risk tolerance.
4. Data Accuracy, Timeliness, and “As Is” Disclaimer
We strive to provide accurate and timely data; however, all content, data, and tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. Optrader does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information presented. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or change without notice. Use at your own risk.
5. Third-Party Data, Links, and APIs
Optrader may rely on third-party data providers and services (including financial market APIs and news sources) which are subject to change, outages, limitations, or discontinuation. We are not responsible for delays, errors, inaccuracies, or omissions caused by third-party sources. Any third-party links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
6. Risks of Trading; No Performance Guarantees
Trading securities and derivatives, including options, involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You can lose all or more than your investment. Past performance, historical “win rates,” back-tested metrics, seasonality, or model outputs do not guarantee future results. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for understanding and managing your own risk, including position sizing, assignment risk, liquidity risk, and event risk (such as earnings).
7. Accounts, Access Levels, and Eligibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspicious activity related to your account. We may restrict access, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Optrader may offer multiple access levels (for example, Free vs. Pro features). Feature availability may differ by plan and may change over time. We may add, remove, or modify features, datasets, symbols, models, and export formats at our discretion.
8. Pricing, Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Important: Paid plans may include a monthly subscription that renews automatically until cancelled. Please review pricing and checkout details carefully before purchasing.
Optrader may offer paid access plans (for example):
- 1-day Pro pass (one-time purchase) — intended for short-term access.
- One Month $25 CAD (one-time purchase) — access to Pro features and paid content while active.
Billing & Renewal: If you purchase a subscription, you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current rate, until you cancel. Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
Cancel Anytime: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. Access typically remains available until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Refunds: Unless required by applicable law or explicitly stated otherwise at checkout, fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial subscription periods or unused time.
Chargebacks & Disputes: If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend access while the dispute is pending. We reserve the right to provide relevant account and transaction details to our payment processor to respond to disputes.
Price Changes: We may change plan pricing or features from time to time. If subscription pricing changes, we will provide notice where required by law, and changes may take effect on your next renewal.
9. Delivery of Access and Email Notices
After successful payment, access to paid features may be enabled automatically or within a reasonable processing window. In some cases, a confirmation email may be sent. Delivery timing may vary due to provider delays, spam filtering, or technical issues outside our control.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to interfere with the platform, scrape or reverse engineer protected content, bypass paywalls or access controls, share paid access credentials, resell access, or use the Service in a manner that harms other users or Optrader. Automated scraping, bulk downloading, or republishing paid reports without permission is prohibited.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, rankings, scoring systems, report layouts, and other content, may be protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from paid content or reports except as permitted by these Terms or by written authorization.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Optrader and its owners, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial loss, trading losses, lost profits, data loss, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Optrader, its owners, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use or misuse of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
14. No Warranty
Optrader is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
15. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any legal disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in British Columbia.
